President Donald Trump is doing what Biden never could—moving the world toward a real peace deal in Ukraine.
As U.S. and Russian officials prepare to meet in Saudi Arabia, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is panicking, insisting that Ukraine must be at the table.
“Ukraine regards any negotiations on Ukraine without Ukraine as ones that have no result,” Zelenskyy whined, as it became clear that Trump is taking charge of the situation himself.
Trump Talks Peace—Russia Responds
Last week, Trump spoke with Vladimir Putin and said he believes both sides want to end the war. Now, Secretary of State Marco Rubio will meet with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov to lay the groundwork for peace.
Meanwhile, Trump’s special envoy to Ukraine, Gen. Keith Kellogg, is heading to Kyiv to meet with Zelenskyy, ensuring that Ukraine is not left behind—but also making it clear they won’t dictate the terms.
Zelenskyy Loses His Grip
For years, Zelenskyy has been cashing in on American aid, receiving a staggering $183 billion since the war began. But Trump is changing the game.
National Security Adviser Mike Waltz outlined Trump’s four key principles for peace:
- A permanent end to the war—not a temporary ceasefire.
- No more human meat grinder battles—this won’t end on the battlefield.
- A new structure for aid—no more blank checks.
- An economic partnership—Ukraine will compensate U.S. taxpayers for past aid.
No More Free Rides for Ukraine
Zelenskyy has already floated the idea of territorial swaps, signaling that even he knows Ukraine can’t keep dragging this war out forever.
Trump’s administration is also negotiating a U.S.-Ukraine economic partnership to ensure that future aid benefits American taxpayers, not just Ukrainian elites.
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth shut down speculation about U.S. troops in Ukraine, saying Trump will decide the terms and that Ukraine will have to work within them.
What’s Next?
With Trump in charge, America is calling the shots—not Zelenskyy, and certainly not the war-hungry globalists who have been using Ukraine as a money pit.
The Trump-Putin talks could be the first step toward ending the bloodshed—and the old establishment is terrified.
