Even though Democrats say they support democracy, they have been working hard over the past few months to keep Americans from having a choice in this election and to shut down Kamala Harris’ opponent.
For example, Democrats and their allies have tried to get President Donald Trump taken off the ballot, threatened to disqualify Trump if he won the election, told the media to tell a “consistent narrative” against him, and broken the law to try to get the Republican arrested. According to polls, almost three in ten Democrats thought it would be worth it to try to kill Harris’ opponent.
New York state Sen. Brad Hoylman-Sigal, who supports keeping boys in girls’ sports, showed that his party is even more against political freedom and the democratic process on Wednesday by demanding that Trump’s upcoming rally be canceled at Madison Square Garden, comparing it to a Nazi rally and smearing about half of the electorate in the process.
“I’ve checked with @TheGarden that they agreed to hold a meeting with Trump at MSG on October 27 at 3 p.m., which is in my Senate district,” Hoylman-Sigal wrote on X. “Let’s be clear. Having Trump hold an event at MSG is the same as letting the notorious Nazis hold a gathering there on February 20, 1939.”
Christopher Bedford, senior editor of Blaze News and a Washington reporter, said, “The Young Americans for Freedom Madison Square Garden gathering in 1962, when those teens gathered well over 18,000 people (and more outside) for a gathering against world communism might have been a better parallel.”
“Liberals in New York were shocked at how many kids didn’t agree with their old ideas,” Bedford said. “But guys like Hoylman-Sigal don’t know much about history, so they just show how intolerant they are by asking for the shutting down of anyone who disagrees with their old ideas.”
Hoylman-Sigal also suggested that to stop a private organization from keeping a promise, it was necessary to use made-up threats, which would help the government violate Americans’ rights to free speech and union.
The Harris supporter went on, “This is a terrible move by Madison Square Garden that will put New Yorkers’ safety at risk and could lead to widespread violence. I want @TheGarden to keep our city safe by canceling the Trump gathering for the good of NYC and its people.”
